Overview

Mountain Home Services is currently seeking an HVAC Warranty Technician to join our team! Our HVAC Warranty Technicians specialize in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial HVAC systems specifically under warranty. This role focuses on verifying warranty eligibility, processing claims with manufacturers, and ensuring repairs are completed according to warranty terms while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance, diagnosing & troubleshooting, and correcting diverse HVAC system issues
  • Mechanical aptitude 
  • EPA and/or RMGA certification required (NATE certification is a plus) 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Results driven in a high-energy environment        
  • Attention to detail        
  • Must be able to follow directions and work independently

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

  • Perform detailed diagnostics on HVAC systems to identify and troubleshoot issues that fall under warranty coverage.
  • Perform service on furnaces, A/C, air handlers, heat pumps, roofs, fireplaces, boilers, mini-splits, and unit heaters.
  • Execute all repairs and replacements in strict accordance with the manufacturer's warranty guidelines and company procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive system start-ups and performance checks for newly installed equipment to ensure compliance with warranty standards.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely warranty claims to manufacturers.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all service visits, including detailed diagnostic notes, parts used, and completed repairs, using company software (ServiceTitan).
  • Clearly and professionally explain warranty terms, coverage, and the repair process to customers.
  • Provide expert guidance on system maintenance and best practices to help customers uphold their warranty requirements and enhance system longevity.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding warranty claims and repairs.
  • Maintain an organized company vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with necessary parts, tools, and materials for warranty-specific work.
